News in Saundz – Be our guest!

Our latest attempt at making the English pronunciation learning experience better for ESL students has resulted in the addition of yet another feature – trial with guest account.

The Guest account gives you full access to the first 7 chapters of the Saundz curriculum without requiring you to register or pay for anything.

It’s now easier than ever to try out the Saundz app, so be our guest – try Saundz now!

All you need to do is click on the big light-blue Try Now button on the Saundz homepage and start practicing sound by sound.

In the first 7 chapters you will get acquainted with the Saundz building block approach and learn how to pronounce 11 of the 40 American English sounds.  In addition to this, you’ll learn more than 40 new words and have access to their comprehensive dictionary definitions, which include sentence examples and images!

Bear in mind that a guest account doesn’t save your profile statistics after you close the application.  If you want to have continuing insight into your progress, you should register for the free trial by clicking either of the two Register buttons within the app interface (as shown in the picture above).

Why register?

Access learning statistics.

By becoming a registered user of Saundz, you get the opportunity to complete your profile information, add an avatar and access your learning statistics.  These statistics show you the number of all the recordings you’ve made, the lessons you’ve completed and the badges you’ve earned.  This way, they help you monitor your progress and see how near to or far from perfecting your pronunciation skills you are.

Get badges.

Besides getting access to statistics, registered members get rewarded for each of their big achievements! Whenever you master a particularly difficult sound or send a certain number of recordings, you’ll get a neatly designed merit badge that you can share with your friends.  There are plenty of ways to earn merit badges and you can make it your mission to discover them all.  Learn more about how you can earn merit badges here.

Social sharing.

If you want to show off your pronunciation skills to your friends on Facebook and Twitter, you can connect your Saundz account with these two social networks and notify all your friends about your achievements.  Once you allow Facebook and Twitter to access your Saundz profile, the app will automatically share your learning progress publicly, so everybody will know how hard-working you are.  You can also use your Facebook account for quick signup and login in Saundz.
